Experience

Alfonso is a Partner in the Financial Regulation and Collective Investment Schemes (CISs) Practice since 2013. He joined the firm in 2001.

He has long experience in regulation, having advised numerous investment services firms, collective investment scheme management companies and pension fund management companies on diverse issues related to the regulation of capital markets.

In addition to taking part in incorporation, transformation or merger processes, he has advised financial institutions on the adaptation of their procedures to the MiFID and MiFID II regulations, and on anti-money laundering matters. Since 2013, he has performed duties of Vice-Secretary of the management company of the investment guarantee general fund.

Of special relevance is the department of Collective Investment Schemes, which he directs. It offers advice on the legal management of Collective Investment Schemes and Pension Plans and Funds. He is in charge of the secretariat of more than 450 open-end investment companies (SICAV), investment funds and pension funds.
